Focus and Scope
PIR is an open access, specialist book review journal in philosophy, published six times a year. We cover all areas of and approaches to philosophy.
Formerly: Canadian Philosophical Reviews (ISSN 0228-491X)
Published since 1981.
|Open Submissions||Indexed||Peer Reviewed|
Peer Review Process
Revisions to Submissions
The editors will proof every review and may make small changes for reasons of clarity or to correct typos. Authors of reviews will only be consulted about these changes if the editors believe that they are major or if they are uncertain whether they capture authors' intended meaning.
PIR publishes six times a year, every two months (February, April, June, August, October, December).
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
