Jakub Zdebik holds a PhD from The Centre for the Study of Theory and Criticism at The University of Western Ontario.After receiving his doctorate, he became a Visiting Research Fellow at The Gail and Stephen A. Jarislowsky Institute for Studies in Canadian Art at Concordia University. His approach to aesthetics focuses on visual concepts such as the diagram, geophilosophy and mapping. He has published on the works of Robert Rauschenberg, Janice Kerbel, and Francis Bacon as well as on the philosophy of Deleuze and Guattari and Gilbert Simondon. He is currently teaching art history at the Visual Arts Department at the University of Ottawa.
