Peer Review Process
Submitted essays are subject to a blind review by the Sophia editorial board, which typically numbers between eight and ten people. Essays are chosen to be included on the basis of consensus, and final decicions are made by the editors in chief. Editors judge submitted essays on writing quality and general philosophical merit; quality of argument, novel approach to the subject at hand, et cetera.
Sophia is published annually by the Philosophy Students' Union at the University of Victoria.
