Author Biography

Katayoun Youssefi, University of Victoria

Katayoun received her MA in Art History and Visual Studies from the University of Victoria in 2019, where her research focused on the anarchist tendencies of the Austro-American architect and theorist, Frederick Kiesler. She is interested in nature-centric theories of the European avant-garde and the influence of evolutionary thought on early twentieth century modern art. Katayoun holds a Master of Arts in Curating the Contemporary from London Metropolitan University in collaboration with Whitechapel Gallery (2012) and a continuous Master of Architecture from Azad University of Mashhad (2008). She is a professional translator of the literature on art and architecture (English to Farsi) and has translated several books and dozens of articles for various Iranian publishers and journals since 2009.
