Call for Proposals for Special Issues
The International Journal of Children, Youth, and Family Studies (IJCYFS) invites proposals for special issues on topics relevant to the field of child, youth, and family studies to be published in 2025 and 2026. Special issues provide an opportunity to explore emerging trends, address pressing issues, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in these areas.
Submission Guidelines:
- Proposal Content: Proposals should include a title, rationale for the special issue, objectives, scope, and potential contributions to the field.
- Timeline: Please provide an estimated timeline for the special issue, including submission deadlines for manuscripts, peer review process, and anticipated publication date.
- Guest Editor(s): Provide the names, affiliations, contact information and CVs of the proposed guest editor(s) responsible for coordinating the special issue. Additionally, please include a brief biography of the proposed guest editor(s) and their expertise in the field.
Submission process
Proposals should be submitted via email to scycgrad@uvic.ca. Please use "Special Issue Proposal Submission" as the subject line. There is no deadline for proposal submissions, but issues will be assigned on a first-come first-serve basis.
Review Process:
Proposals will be reviewed by the editors to assess their quality, relevance, and potential contribution to the journal. Successful proposals will be selected based on their alignment with the journal's aims and scope, originality of the topic, and scholarly merit.
