Abstract

Trauma studies has emerged as one of the most dynamic and interdisciplinary fields of inquiry in contemporary humanities research. In recent years, particular attention has been devoted to the experiences of children and youth, whose encounters with personal, familial, social, and historical trauma often shape their emotional development, identity formation, and sense of belonging. The contributions included in this issue examine trauma from multiple perspectives using a variety of theoretical frameworks, offering rich insights into the ways memory functions in shaping individual and collective identities.
